President Barack Obama has interviewed federal Appeals Court Judge Sidney Thomas of Montana to fill a seat in the Supreme Court, according to the Associated Press. This is the first known formal interview Obama has conducted. Thomas was also interviewed by Vice President Joe Biden at a separate time for the spot that will open when Justice John Paul Stevens retires.
