President Obama's reelection campaign has officially commenced, and the gloves are off. At a Silicon Valley fundraiser Sunday, the president took a jab at Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry, saying that he’s a “governor whose state is on fire, denying climate change.” Earlier, Obama said that the GOP vision of government would “fundamentally cripple America,” while speaking at a fundraiser in Medina, Wash. The speeches come as the president attempts to bring back the Democratic passion that’s faded in recent months. Obama said that the GOP’s approach to government fundamentally cripples America, especially in meeting the “challenges of the 21st century.” Obama also said, “From the moment I took office, what we’ve seen is a constant ideological pushback against any kind of sensible reforms that would make our economy work better and give people more opportunity.”
