President Obama says he would consider appointing an Ebola "czar" to coordinate the U.S. government's efforts to combat the disease. Obama said after meeting with some top advisers in the Oval Office on Thursday night that at some point it might be appropriate to have one person ramrodding the federal response. "It may make sense for us to have one person in part just so that after this initial surge of activity we can have a more regular process," he said. "Just to make sure that we're crossing all the t's and dotting all the i's going forward." Republicans have been pressing the president to name an Ebola czar for weeks. The president also said he is open to a travel ban if experts advise him one is needed, but that so far they have not. He said he has no philosophical objection" to such a ban.
