President Obama says the United States “stands ready to help” Japan in any way it can following the largest earthquake in that country's history. Obama also said that his administration will “continue to closely monitor tsunamis around Japan and the Pacific going forward.” All American military personnel in Japan have been accounted for, according to the Pentagon.
