Good luck with the Thanksgiving approach there. President Obama on Monday urged House Republicans to back an immigration-reform bill that has already been passed by the Democratic-controlled Senate. At a fundraiser in California, Obama said the House could “carve that bill into multiple pieces” to get it passed. Things took a turn for the dramatic, though, when the president began engaging in a dialogue with a heckler behind him (never mind that those people are chosen by the White House). “You have the power to stop all deportations!” the heckler yelled, to which Obama answered “Actually, I don’t.” The president then turned away from the camera and addressed the man directly. Talk about taking it personally.
