Obama Reaches Fundraising Milestone

Will have held more than 100 events.

In less than a year since he started his reelection campaign, President Obama has held more than 100 fundraisers. At least he will have once he finishes his latest fundraising tour in New York City Thursday. The milestone is significant, as it’s more than George W. Bush ever held during his 2004 reelection campaign. President Obama seems determined to build up his defenses against the Republicans and outside groups that he knows will be spending heavily to beat him in the general election. Obama is expected to take home more than $5 million from this New York trip alone.
