Today, President Obama announced that he’s ordering a new task force to combat sexual assault on college campuses. He is expected to sign a presidential memorandum creating the task force, and the group will have 90 days to outline recommendations for preventing assault and rape on university grounds and ways to get federal agencies involved. The move is part of his larger effort to combat sexual assault in general, telling the Pentagon last month it had a year to address the well-publicized failures of military assault.
