President Obama held a press conference with the prime minister of Sweden on Wednesday to address questions regarding his position to order military action in Syria. Obama firmly stated that after children have been subjected to chemical weapons, “the moral thing to do is not to stand by and do nothing.” The president said that he “didn’t set a red line” and that the “world set a red line.” He believes Congress will approve the strike, though if that isn’t the case, he always preserves the right to act on behalf of U.S. national security. “My credibility’s not on the line. The international community’s credibility is on the line,” he said.
