Two Obamacare recipients have filed to intervene in a lawsuit that threatens the healthcare plan's funding. Gustavo Parker and La Trina Patton on Tuesday asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit to let them oppose a May ruling that threatens funding for low- and middle-income Obamacare recipients. The ruling, issued in response to a 2014 lawsuit by House Republicans, found that the Obama administration had misapplied billions of dollars in federal funding to support the healthcare program. The ruling is still in appeal. Parker and Patton said the incoming Trump administration threatens the state of the case's appeal, suggesting that a Republican White House might work with Congress to block the appeal.
