Former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama said in a statement on Tuesday that they were “disgusted” to learn of the sexual harassment allegations against film producer Harvey Weinstein. “Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status,” the Obamas said in a statement about Weinstein, who is a major Democratic donor. The Obamas’ daughter Malia worked as an intern for Weinstein’s production company. Earlier in the day, Hillary Clinton also spoke out against Weinstein, who donated the maximum $5,400 to her presidential campaign.
