Obamas to Appear on ‘Oprah’

Talk about going out with a bang: In her last month of her nationally syndicated talk show, Oprah will sit down for an interview with President Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama. The episode will tape on April 27 and most likely air on May 2. A longtime backer of Obama, Oprah shot down rumors earlier this week that she would not be endorsing him in 2012. Her spokeswoman said Sunday that “Oprah’s support of President Obama has been and remains unwavering since initially endorsed his candidacy in 2007.” Sources said the talk show host would not endorse because she was worried about a ratings sag on her new network, OWN. The last episode of the Oprah Winfrey Show is scheduled to air on May 25.
