Christine O'Donell rose above it. After being scheduled to speak at a Tea Party event in Iowa, Christine O’Donnell was promptly disinvited. But after being invited again, O'Donnell tweeted that she would accept. Ken Crow, the president of Tea Party for America, invited O’Donnell after running it by aides for Sarah Palin, who is the main draw. Palin aides signed off, telling the group they could invite whomever they wished and noting that Palin had endorsed O’Donnell’s insurgent but failed Senate campaign last year. But in a matter of hours, the group had changed its mind. “I made a mistake,” Crow said. “I assumed there was an open slot and there wasn’t.”
