Those Daily Show correspondents know how to get you. Just ask conservative activist Don Yelton, who is stepping down from his role as Republican precinct chairman of Buncombe County, N.C., after making a series of racially charged comments in an interview Wednesday night. Speaking about a new voter identification requirement, he told correspondent Aasif Mandvi that, "If it hurts a bunch of lazy blacks that want the government to give them everything, so be it," along with, "If it hurts a bunch of whites, so be it." Yelton stood by his comments, noting that "one of my best friends is black."
