According to Louisiana State Police, the gunman in Sunday’s shooting in Baton Rouge was “certainly seeking out police.” Gavin Long, 29, reportedly ambushed officers outside of a convenience store, the AP reported. He killed three law-enforcement officials and injured another three. Military records obtained by The Daily Beast show Long served in the Marine Corps from 2005 to 2010 as a data network specialist. He deployed to Japan and spent seven months in Iraq.
