Officials in Connecticut are investigating a restaurant where Kathy Berman, the wife of ESPN anchor Chris Berman, dined before she was killed in a fatal car crash. According to the Department of Consumer Protection, state officials are probing the Good News Cafe in Woodbury, Connecticut, in connection with Berman’s May death. An autopsy showed that Berman had a high blood-alcohol content at the time of her death. “Our Liquor Control Division opened a case into this matter as soon as we received information indicating a liquor establishment may have violated the law,” the DCP told NBC Connecticut.
