One World Trade Reaches 1,776 Feet

'The Freedom Tower' has hit its final symbolic height. On Friday morning, in a moment of both triumph and remembrance, the 40-ton silver spire was permanently affixed to the top of what is now the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.
