The country’s second most populous state may soon be allowed to openly carry licensed handguns in public, according to a new bill passed in both the Senate and the House on Friday. Republican Governor Greg Abbott, who has the final say, has promised to approve the bill. The state has roughly 850,000 licensed holders.
