PA Senate Dems Being Held ‘Cyber-Hostage’

Pennsylvania Senate Democrats and their staffers are locked out of their computer network after it was broken into in a ransomware attack, NBC News reports. Democratic leader Jay Costa said that the hackers are demanding a payment, but would not elaborate on whether the hackers carried out the cyberattack for political reasons. A state official told NBC News that the Democrats are the only ones affected by the hack.
