Battle lines are drawn for Super Bowl XLV: the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers, two teams with rabid fan bases, will meet at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas on February 6. Boosted by their celebrated defense, the Steelers defeated the New York Jets 24-19 Sunday night after the Jets’ late surge from a 24-0 deficit fell short. Earlier in the day, the Packers raced to a 14-0 lead early over the Chicago Bears in the second quarter and never looked back. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler struggled through the game, finally leaving with a knee injury in the third quarter. But third-string quarterback Caleb Hanie led the team on a recovery, scoring twice. Unfortunately for the Bears, he also threw an interception that Packers defensive tackle B. J. Raji ran 18 yards for the clinching touchdown.
