The plot thickens: The United States and Pakistan are investigating a major in the Pakistani army who knew of—and possibly aided—Faisal Shahzad’s plans to attempt to bomb Times Square months before they went down earlier in May. At the very least, the major, who has resigned, knew of the plans and did not alert the authorities. The major was arrested over the weekend.
