What many people assumed was true has been confirmed: U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has said the Pakistani Taliban were behind the attempted Times Square bombing. “We’ve now developed evidence that show the Pakistani Taliban was behind the attack,” Holder said on ABC’s This Week.“We know that they helped facilitate it. We know that they probably helped finance it. And that he was working at their direction.” Holder also said the Pakistani government was not likely aware of Faisal Shahzad, the attempted bomber, was planning on making the attempt. Holder also discussed the possibility of Congress updating the Miranda warning requiring law enforcement officials to inform possible suspects of their rights.
