A zookeeper at California's Palm Beach Zoo died on Friday after a tiger attacked her in its enclosure. Zookeeper Stacey Konwesier entered the tiger pen around 2 p.m. for a routine procedure to prepare a two-year-old tiger for the zoo's "Tiger Talk" show. The tiger attacked her, inflicting deadly wounds before zoo staff could tranquilize it. Konwesier was a tiger expert and had worked at the zoo for three years. Her husband is also an employee there.
