Paris is the muse capital of the world. Everyone can go through the city and be inspired to create. Louise Fili found her muse in the typography of parisian signage. She took to the streets of Paris to photograph the images in Graphique De La Rue at times when the city belonged to noone, 5:30am. In between her telescoping pole and sheaf of maps, she raced through the desolate streets hunting each sign before they were taken by the shadows of mid-morning. In each photograph one can see how delicately Fili composed the frame to truly communicate the aesthetic of each sign within their space. Typography is often a silent art that works best when blended into ourlives; it being the framework that shapes out languages. Here you can enjoy a selection of the bold signs that frame the cities of Paris through their declarations of presence while provide insight into the city's rich history.
