A Utah movie theater has canceled a town hall hosted by the Parkland school shooting survivors after the event escalated “into a potentially contentious situation.” The Salt Lake Tribune reports that a pro-gun group called the Utah Gun Exchange encouraged “its members to attend,” prompting the theater to pull out of the event with the March for Our Lives organizers because of security concerns. The gun group has also been tailing the “Road to Change” organizers in a “military-style armored vehicle” while they are on a cross-country tour to register young voters. Madalena McNeil, the organizer of the local March for Our Lives chapter, said she was “very disappointed but will work together with our partners on this event to accommodate this last-minute change.”
