Vice President Mike Pence on Saturday blasted the Associated Press over its decision to publish Second Lady Karen Pence’s email address, which violated her “privacy and security.” The release of the emails came after a report earlier in the week that Pence used a personal AOL account for government business while he served as governor of Indiana. Pence’s lawyer Mark Paoletta sent a letter to the AP’s CEO, Gary Pruitt, in which he said the publication of Karen Pence’s email address “subjected her to vitriolic and malicious emails and raised serious security concerns.” On Twitter, Pence wrote that the AP never retracted the information, but the AP’s media relations chief, Lauren Easton, said the news wire service redacted Karen Pence’s email address from future stories.
