Michele Bachmann seems to have pushed her attack on Texas Gov. Rick Perry too far: Perry hit back Wednesday over her claim to have met a girl who suffered “mental retardation” after receiving an HPV vaccine. “I think that was a statement that had no truth in it, no basis in fact,” Perry said. Apparently Ed Rollins, who stepped down as Bachmann’s campaign manager earlier this month, agrees. “She made a mistake,” Rollins told MSNBC. “The quicker she admits she made a mistake and moves on, the better she is.”
