The president of the Phoenix-area NAACP chapter resigned Monday night in the wake of his comments last week on a female television reporter’s chest. The Phoenix New Times recorded Don Harris saying that New 12’s Monique Griego had “nice tits” while he was answering questions outside a meeting about students who spelled out the N-word with letters on their T-shirts. After the story circulated, the 77-year-old former lawyer sent an email offering his resignation to the Maricopa County NAACP board. The group voted Monday to accept his resignation, board member Benjamin Taylor confirmed.
