The body of a Russian pilot shot by Syrian rebels after his plane was downed by Turkey has been sent home, Turkish officials say. Lt. Col. Oleg Peshkov was reportedly given Orthodox last rites in Turkey before being sent back to Moscow. Turkey maintains that it shot down Peshkov’s plane after multiple warnings that it strayed into its airspace.
