The state prosecution requested a 10 year sentence for Oscar Pistorius, the Olympian on trial for killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. In the trial's final arguments, Prosecutor Gerrie Nel told the judge that "the only reasonable sentence would be long-term incarceration" for Pistorius, and said his use of disability as an excuse was "shameless."
