Plane Catches Fire on Takeoff in Vegas

Airport officials said 14 people were taken to the hospital on Tuesday after a British Airways flight in Las Vegas caught fire during takeoff. The Boeing 777 was headed to London with 159 passengers onboard when it suffered major engine failure while trying to take off. The fire engulfed the plane and forced passengers to evacuate the plane with emergency slides. Witnesses reported the blaze was so intense it had melted windows on the plane.
