PM Wants Elections in 8 Months

Libyan interim Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril says he wants elections to be held within eight months to create a national congress, which would have two tasks: to draft a constitution and to form an interim government that would last until the first presidential elections. The National Transitional Council said it plans to declare “full liberation” on Sunday, an unexplained postponement of a day. The burial of Muammar Gaddafi has also been postponed as the United Nations, the United States, and human rights groups call for an investigation into his death. Videos of his capture raise concerns that he and his son Mutassim were executed.
