They’re calling him the “American Fritzl”: Jeffrey York is accused of raping one of his daughters while keeping another imprisoned in a tiny room for more than a year. York, of Madison Township, Ohio, allegedly dominated his wife and seven kids through fear, refusing to let them see friends and loved ones. York’s wife, Danita, went to police in December after she said her husband raped her child, and said that the whole family had been abused, mentally and physically, for years. The York children are between the ages of 3 months and 19, and police found a 13-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted repeatedly. One girl lived in one-third of an 8 by 10-foot room that had been cut into sections. The family is now in a shelter and York, 47, is charged with 19 crimes, including rape, gross sexual conduct, and child abuse.
