Charles R. Cole was arrested on Friday in South Carolina after allegedly strangling his mother in a New York motel where they lived and dumping her body after keeping it there for almost two months. He was arraigned on a murder charge and jailed without bail. His wife, who also lived at the motel, was charged with tampering with evidence.
