Police: Woman Who ‘Miscarried’ at Gender-Reveal Shootout Wasn't Pregnant

She said she miscarried; police say she wasn’t pregnant at all.

A woman claimed to have miscarried after a fatal shootout at her unborn child’s gender-reveal party in Colerain, Ohio earlier this month, but police said Monday she was not pregnant at all. A 22-year-old woman was killed during the shootout, while another eight people, including three children, were wounded. “From the very beginning of this investigation, we have met significant resistance that is uncommon from victims of crime wanting a resolution,” police told the Associated Press. Officials added that their investigation into the shooting is being hampered by “leads known to be lies.”
