A Reuters/Ipsos poll released Thursday showed that Americans’ opinions over 17-year-old Trayvon Martin’s death are divided along racial lines. According to the poll of 1,922 Americans, 91 percent of African-Americans think the Martin’s death is “unjust,” compared to 35 percent of whites. “This incident is one of the clearest splits we’ve seen between whites and blacks,” said Ipsos pollster Chris Jackson. Fifty-nine percent of Hispanics said they believe Martin is innocent and unjustly killed. Meanwhile, a full 93 percent of respondents said they had heard of the case.
