And now for some more bad news for Anthony Weiner: a Quinnipiac poll released Monday showed that a majority of Democrats think he should quit the New York City mayor’s race. Fifty-three percent of respondents said he should bow out now while 40 percent said he should stay in the race. His overall support dropped to 16 percent among Democratic voters. The poll was conducted after Weiner admitted at a press conference that he continued to sext long after he was forced to resign from Congress for sending pictures of his penis to women. The new poll showed Christine Quinn, the New York City Council speaker, ahead of the primary field with 27 percent support.
