Prez. Campaign to Accept Text Donations

O-B-A-M-A

For first time in history.

Team Obama has announced that it will now accept donations via text message--becoming the first presidential campaign to ever do so. "Grassroots giving is powering this campaign," said campaign manager Jim Messina. "Accepting small donations by text message will help us engage even more grassroots supporters who want to play a role by donating whatever they can afford to the campaign and get the president reelected in November." Mitt Romney's campaign is also working on being able to accept text donations. Contributors will be able to donate $50 a month for either candidate or political committee and, at most, $200 for the whole election cycle—because that's how much can legally be given anonymously.
