Prince Overdosed on Percocet, Flight Made Rapid Descent

The late rock legend Prince was said to have been “unresponsive” during a flight from Atlanta to Minneapolis last week, reportedly from a Percocet overdose, causing the plane to make a rapid-descent emergency landing. According to NBC News, the plane descended 45,000 feet in 17 minutes after the pilots declared a “medical emergency” on board. Prince died six days later at his home in Minnesota. The musician reportedly had corrective hip surgery in 2010 and took the opiate for pain relief.
