There’s nothing like a bit of reality TV for enlivening a 32-year old feud, especially when its an argument about Princess Diana’s 1981 wedding dress.
The gown was designed by the husband and wife team Elizabeth and David Emmanuel, who divorced in 1990, and are now arguing about WHO TOOK THE CALL from Diana.
David is currently a contestant on the jungle reality show, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, and has been chatting about making Diana’s dress over the campfire.

David told a fellow contestant, “I picked up a call in the studio and she said: ‘It's me.’ She never said 'Lady Diana.' …She said, ‘I'm just wondering, would you do the honor of designing my wedding gown?’”
But his wife, Elizabeth, is claiming that SHE is the one who picked up the call – and has published excerpts of a book she wrote in 2005 with David called A Dress For Diana to prove her point.
(I know! Imagine writing a book with your ex!)
In the book, David is quoted as saying, “Elizabeth was in the showroom dressing one of our clients — a real rock ’n’ roll girl who was getting married to her record producer fiancé. The phone was ringing and ringing and no one was answering it.
"Eventually, Elizabeth picked it up and a voice said simply: “This is Diana. I was wondering . . . Liz, would you and David do me the honor of making my wedding dress?” ’
Elizabeth tells the Mail’s Richard Kay:
“I just wanted to make clear what the situation was and set the record straight. What’s in the book is what actually happened.” She also says, “I don’t want to make a big deal of it.”
Yeah, right.
