A controversial video filmed in Portland, Oregon shows protesters singing “deck the halls with rows of dead cops,” but a woman who helped organize the demonstration last Saturday says the line was never meant to be included. “I put together the song list,” Nicole Leggett told KOMO News. “It’s a section of songs from the Ferguson protesters that they put together for a caroling event. There’s no ‘dead cops.’ There’s not even an ‘f—- the cops’ in here at all.” Leggett said the original line was “deck the halls with cop indictments”; the line about “dead cops” was added by a group of anarchists who joined the protest later night.
