Not even royalty can resist Mark Zuckerberg’s addictive creation. Yes, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II has joined Facebook, the royal household announced Sunday. The 84-year-old British monarch will launch a series of official pages on Monday that will feature videos, photos, and news items covering her as well as the rest of the country’s royal family, including Princes William and Harry. Although the queen personally approved the plan, she admitted that she had never used the site herself. The Facebook site will include Britain’s court circular, the official daily record of the royal family’s engagements, and all royal diary appointments from the previous day, with users able to leave messages or comments for Buckingham Palace on the site. Sadly, since the pages are corporate and not personal, people will not be able to friend request the queen.
