A real estate agent who showed up at an abandoned house in Milwaukee with a prospective buyer in tow found the body of a homeless man in a closet, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office said. The body found in the home near N. 25th Street and Michigan Avenue was identified as that of 53-year-old John Abbott, whom the medical examiner said had been schizophrenic. The house was being sold by the city of Milwaukee for rehabilitation, and was in a state of severe dilapidation. Authorities said there was no evidence to suggest Abbott had been living there. Abbott’s temperature was 22 degrees when the medical examiner arrived at the scene.
