Forget about the disaster of Game Three—the Red Sox are just one win away from taking the World Series as they head back to Fenway Park for Game Six. Boston took Game Five 3-1 Monday night in St. Louis, after pulling ahead of the 1-1 tie in the seventh with a ground-rule double by Jason Ross. Ross is only the fourth catcher in Red Sox history to get a game-winning RBI in the World Series. David Ortiz continued to dominate, now hitting .476 in the series and going 11-15—and got the first RBI of the game in the first inning, driving Dustin Pedoria home and giving Boston a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals tied it up in the fourth, with Matt Holliday hitting a solo home run off of Red Sox starter Jon Lester. The series heads back to Boston, although Boston hasn’t won a World Series at home since 1918.
