Harry Reid has low expectations for the upcoming House-Senate budget talks, calling the idea that Senate Budget Committee leader Patty Murray and her House counterpart Paul Ryan will come to some sort of "grand bargain," including overhauling entitlement programs, "happy talk." The Senate Majority Leader from Nevada was speaking on local radio station KNPR on Thursday. "I hope that we can do some stuff to get rid of sequestration and go on to do some sensible budgets--budgeteering," he said, noting that he has the utmost faith in Murray. "I hope there would be a grand bargain, but I don't see that happening." The first budget conference committee meeting is slated for October 30.
