Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. Blames iPad for Unemployment
On the Hill
Get this man an economics textbook: Real Clear Politics has posted video of Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) on the floor of the House, blaming the iPad for "eliminating thousands of jobs." Jackson was particularly concerned about the publishing industry. "Now Borders is closing stores because, why do you need to go to Borders anymore? Why do you need to go to Barnes & Noble? Buy an iPad and download your newspaper, download your book, download your magazine." Last month, Jackson Jr. proposed that the U.S. government provide an iPad to every student in the nation.
