Rep. Nancy Mace spent Tuesday night fervently posting X updates on her trip to Washington, D.C., to cast her vote on President Donald Trump’s spending megabill… all while inexplicably wearing pink polka dot pajamas. The controversial South Carolina Republican, best known for her crusades against trans rights, was forced to hit the road after flights to the capital were cancelled for bad weather. One post features the congresswoman picking up three cans of Red Bull at a truck stop, bemused lapdog in hand. Another shows her posing with diner staff after what appears to have been a midnight stopoff at Waffle House. “From one Waffle House waitress to another, thank you for showing up, working hard, and keeping the coffee hot,” the caption reads. Before getting into politics, Mace did indeed work at the diner chain, something she somewhat less enthusiastically describes as “an early setback” in her congressional profile on her website.
