Brian Peterson, the Milwaukee County chief medical examiner, claimed Thursday that Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., who may join the Trump administration, “verbally pummeled” and “threatened” him over information Peterson made public related to the deaths of two inmates at the Milwaukee County Jail. Four inmates have died in the jail since April, which is overseen by Clarke. Clarke claims that he will contact the state Medical Examining Board to attempt to get Peterson’s license revoked.
