White House Chief of Staff John Kelly reportedly tried to “contain” President Trump’s anger on Wednesday over a report that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Trump a “moron” and considered resigning. According to NBC News, Kelly decided not to fly on Air Force One for Trump’s trip to Las Vegas on Wednesday in order to “manage the fallout” from the situation. Kelly reportedly summoned Tillerson and Defense Secretary James Mattis to the White House. The NBC report described Vice President Mike Pence as “fuming.”
