A State Department official tasked with restructuring the department has quit after just three months on the job, Bloomberg News reports. On Aug. 17, Maliz Beams accepted a post that placed her in charge of overhauling and streamlining the State Department’s structure. But Beams has reportedly quit, leaving Christine Ciccione, a deputy chief of staff to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, to take over the effort. Since Tillerson’s takeover, the State Department has been plagued with unoccupied positions and reports of low morale.
