Top White House adviser Jared Kushner has agreed to meet with staffers of the Senate Intelligence Committee later this month, NBC News reported, on the condition that Kushner submit documents to the committee and agree to answer questions from the panel’s members. Speaking on CNN Thursday night, Independent Sen. Angus King, a member of the committee, confirmed the NBC report. Kushner came under fire recently after The Washington Post and others revealed that Kushner allegedly told Russia’s U.S. ambassador that he wanted to set up a secret backchannel with the Kremlin, and failed to disclose those meetings on his application for a government security clearance.
